Camp Lenape TEN WEEKS OF TRADITIONAL CAMP Camp Lenape is an incredible place where youth flourish in a positive, caring, supportive environment. Camp is a place to build confidence, learn new things, and have fun Our day camp program is built on traditional values and principles. The Camp Lenape staff provides opportunities for children to grow as leaders themselves, as they experience a wide variety of safe activities. Campers gain an expanded view of the world by meeting and interacting with staff. These are just a few examples of ways for campers to develop meaningful relationships and lifelong bonds with others who share camp experience. Our sports camp is built into the traditional camp for ages 5 – 15. The sports camp is not typical skills intensive, highly competitive sports camp that you might find offered by most organizations. Instead of emphasizing competition and individual achievement, the program provides a non-competitive framework that fosters skill development, teamwork and team achievement. While skill development serves as an essential component of the camp, every activity will resolve around the ultimate goal of character development. Each week provides for a different sport: WEEK 1 – SOCCER To resister for camp, please visit the Metuchen Branch YMCA. If you need more information, please contact the camp director, Skip Fuller, at Skip.Fuller@metuchen-edisonymca.org.
