YMCA Swim Teamswimmer

The MEY swim team  open to boys and girls ages 6-18 years of  age competes in the NJ YMCA Swim League with several dual meet teams as well as in the US Swimming meets throughout the East Coast Region. We field one boys, one girls and one co-ed team in various divisions. Team members are organized into eight training groups based on an evaluation of individual ability by our experienced coaching staff. The MEY Swim Team is a full year program broken into three sessions. Fall/Winter, Spring and Summer. The season begins in September with evaluations and practice group  assignments. Our focus is on developing stroke technique, discipline, and team spirit. As members of the " Manta Ray Team" our swimmers establish lasting friendships, develop  self-esteem, and a sense of responsibility through goal setting.

  • Manta Ray Swim Team – Our Manta Ray Team has produced local, state, regional, and national champion swimmers. We have developed athletes that have gone to compete for several Division 1A College Programs aroung the country. In addition to being a part of the N.J. YMCA league, some of our swimmers are also members of the N.J. U.S. Swimming league. The team competes in the YMCA with one boy's team, one girl's team and one co-ed team. Practice groups are arranged based upon ability and age. There are nine different practice groups. Click here to see the brochure and.
