Y Family Programs

We strive to serve the multi-dimensional needs of our member families. We recognize that families are looking for ways to connect with each other and the community. Our programming is designed to help families meet this goal.

Parent / Child Classes

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Parent/Child Classes (for children 6 mos to 2 ½ years)

 

  • Provide children with the opportunity to develop their gross motor and socialization skills in a fun, playtime environment.
  • Provide parents with the opportunity to meet and connect with other families with similar age children.
  • Parents can choose from gym, art, music, sports and swim classes that best fit their child's interests and busy schedules.  Classes run throughout the week and on Saturdays and Sundays.
Birthday Parties at the Y!
The Edison Y has become the place for birthday parties.  Enjoy our Dragon Moonwalk either indoors or out, as well as full use of our state-of-the-art multi-purpose room.
  • Choose from gym, sports & games or gym & craft parties
  • All parties include invitations and a t-shirt for the birthday child.
  • Party rates begin at $200 for family members.
  • We provide trained party specialists, basic paper goods and utensils.

Special Events!

Throughout the year the Edison Y runs programs designed to create quality prime time for families.

  • Activities range from National Y events like Healthy Kids Day, to local based programs as our Annual Halloween Carnival, and performances by Mr. Ray.
  • Special events, speakers' series and family events are scheduled through out the year to bring both families and the community closer together.
  • In addition, annual food and book drives create an opportunity for families to give to those in need.
