DAY CAMPS sponsored by the Edison Branch YMCA

The 2010 Camp brochure is NOW AVAILABLE!

Hot off the presses!  (Click on 2010 Camp Brochure)

Now offering indoor and outdoor day camp sites, we are conveniently located just 5 minutes to the Parkway, 10 minutes to Rte. 1.

Y Camp at Oakcrest is held outdoors at the YMCA Family Swim Club at Oakcrest on 14 acres of land including: a skatepark, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, basketball courts, baseball field, playground and a 6 lane swimming pool with a slide.  It is also the home of Half Pint Camp. Beginner and advanced instructional swim lessons in the morning are provided to all campers, and free swim is offered in the afternoon. Structured group activities that revolve around weekly themes are provided for the campers daily, including sports, arts and crafts, group games, scavenger hunts, FUN Fridays and more.

Y Camp at Oak Tree is located inside the Edison Branch YMCA at 1775 Oak Tree Road.  Enrichment Camps are provided in the morning, followed by lunch, free swim and fun indoor and outdoor activities the counselors coordinate.

For 2010, camp is available for 10, one-week sessions from  June 21 through August 27.

The camp day has been extended 1 hour, from 8:30am-4:30pm, with extended care available from 7am-7pm.  Half Pint Camp offers a half-day option as well.

Full time, experienced YMCA Program Director Jeff Hirschman returns for another fantastic summer at Oakcrest.  Laura Margeotes, our full time Youth and Teen Director, has planned an exciting fun-filled summer at Oak Tree.  In addition, we have Activity Coordinators, Unit Leaders and Counselors all over 18 and fully trained in YMCA day camp philosophy and State Health Department standards.  We listened to your comments, and have brought in highly skilled specialty instructors to lead our sports clinics and enrichment camp programs.
