Woodbridge Child Care Center The Woodbridge Child Care Center opened its doors in 1998. The Center is a co-sponsored program between the Metuchen Edison Woodbridge YMCA and Woodbridge Township. The Center operates twelve months a year and welcomes children 30 months old through six years of age. Structured around the YMCA Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, our center has the capacity to serve 30 children per session. Programs: In 2004, we expanded our programs to include before and after school care, primarily for the students of Avenel Street School 4 & 5. In September 2006, the Woodbridge Board of Education granted our center the privilege of hosting our After Care program in the school cafeteria and gymnasium, thus allowing us to expand our program even further. In September 2007, we became a member of a Nationwide YMCA School Age Child Care Collaboration, designed to generate connectivity between our children, their families, schools and communities. This is an exciting adventure, allowing us to develop a school age program which develops the mind, body and spirit of the child.
