More Than Just Fun and Games
YMCA programs such as child care, swim
lessons, youth sports, mentoring and camping
do more than just teach skills - they teach
young people to be responsible, caring
adults. Our coaches and staff are role
models for kids, helping them develop their
own leadership capabilities and fulfill their
potential. “Everybody plays - everybody wins”
is not just a slogan at the Y. We encourage all
children to grow in spirit, mind and body
through participation in the YMCA.

Our
Secret Ingredient
A YMCA is not a building. It is a tapestry of
members, participants and volunteers. The
thread that holds it all together is our caring and
committed staff. Not only do our staff make sure
that your Y experience is safe and of high quality,
but they are also passionate about the Y mission.
Most staff give to the YMCA Strong Kids
Campaign each year, because they know the
value of Y membership and services.

Children are our most valuable resource. Along
with the basic needs of food, education and
shelter, they also need to be loved, guided and
supported in their transition to adulthood. The
YMCA believes that every child, regardless of his
or her family’s financial situation, deserves the
experience of YMCA programs and service.
Through YMCA programs, families have
opportunities to connect and grow together.
Whether a child spends every day with us or just
a few weeks in the summer, the YMCA is an
experience that will stick with them forever.

One of the most crucial roles a YMCA plays is
that of a safe place. At the Y, kids can be kids,
play is encouraged, and everyone is welcome to
take part. Under the guidance of trained staff and
volunteers, children find a home away from
home at the Y where they can grow in spirit,
mind and body. No child is turned away from the
Y due to inability to pay.

See how lives have changed due to your generosity.
